Visiting a new church can be pretty awkward. Maybe you’re coming from another church that did things differently or you’ve never been part of a church. Now you’re surrounded by a bunch of people singing songs that you don’t know and praying prayers you’ve never heard. Then, to top it all off, they pass around a basket and ask for money. We get it! We know that visiting a church can be uncomfortable, and we want to make you feel at home. So, here are a few things to know:

• You are welcome here and we're so glad you came. Every one of us has a past and it doesn’t matter where you come from, what you’ve done, or who you’re involved with, you're always welcome.
• Do not feel obligated to give. For those who attend our church regularly, it is an honor to give, but we do not expect it of our guests.
• Relax and enjoy yourself. Hopefully the routines of our Sunday service will be pretty easy to understand, but don’t worry, there’s nothing here to “mess up.”
• Say "hello" to someone. Most likely a bunch of people have already said “hello” to you, but in case they haven’t, step out and introduce yourself. We’d love to get to know you.
• Finally, if you have any questions, please ask!

Our hope is that after getting to know us better, you would become a part of our church family.  We’d love to have you on the journey.

HELLO LACC!

Happy Saturday! We are looking forward to meeting together this Sunday to worship God with you. We will be continuing our new series in Malachi called Apathy to Affection. If you would like to read the passage for this week, take a look at Malachi 1:6-2:9. Please join us for worship, giving, scripture reading, prayer, teaching, and fellowship.
 

Here are some announcements:

Farewell To the Armstrongs- Tomorrow will be Ray & Marcia’s last Sunday with us. Join us after church for a bit to fellowship and pray with them before they leave. 

Awana Awards Night- Wednesday night will be our last night of Awana for the season. If you would like to join us for a BBQ family dinner and awards, we will start at 5:30. 

Mom’s Group -Mom’s Group will get together next Friday, May 1st at 10 am. Join us for a good time together– we’ll be making pasta and some time in the Word. It’s always fun! Bring a friend. Call Marlo to RSVP or with questions. 
 
Men’s Breakfast -We’ll have Men’s breakfast next Saturday, May 2 at 9 am. We are studying The Fear of the Lord by Michael Reeves. You don’t want to miss it!

National Day of Prayer- National Day of Prayer is May 7. We will team up with other churches from our community to have a night of prayer and worship. It will be at MLCC from 6:00-7:30. Hope you can make it.

Man Camp- Attention all men! Join us May 15-17 at Mountain Meadows Bible Camp for a great weekend with great teaching, worship, food, and fun. $125 for the weekend, $65 for only Saturday. To sign up contact Elijah at laboskyelijah@gmail.com. 

Ladies Tea- We will have our Spring Ladies Tea on May 16 at 11:00 am. Childcare will be provided. Bring a friend and a finger food to share. Email holli@lakechurch.life to RSVP or with any questions.

Hume Lake & Yard Sale- We still have a few spots open if you’d like to join us for camp at Hume Lake! It’s always SO much fun. Let us know if you can come!
