We are a family of believers who are united by our journey of faith under the powerful and life-giving name of Jesus Christ. For over 40 years God has blessed our church with the opportunity to spread the Good News of the Kingdom of God locally and internationally. You will experience joy-filled worship and hope-filled biblical messages. We believe in the freedom and encouragement that the Word of God and walking in the Spirit brings. Your kids will have fun and find inspiration while learning about our loving God in a safe environment.
Welcome to Lake Almanor Community Church!

Visiting a new church can be pretty awkward. Maybe you’re coming from another church that did things differently or you’ve never been part of a church. Now you’re surrounded by a bunch of people singing songs that you don’t know and praying prayers you’ve never heard. Then, to top it all off, they pass around a basket and ask for money. We get it! We know that visiting a church can be uncomfortable, and we want to make you feel at home. So, here are a few things to know:
- You are welcome here and we're so glad you came. Every one of us has a past and it doesn’t matter where you come from, what you’ve done, or who you’re involved with, you're always welcome.
- Do not feel obligated to give. For those who attend our church regularly, it is an honor to give, but we do not expect it of our guests.
- Relax and enjoy yourself. Hopefully the routines of our Sunday service will be pretty easy to understand, but don’t worry, there’s nothing here to “mess up.”
- Say "hello" to someone. Most likely a bunch of people have already said “hello” to you, but in case they haven’t, step out and introduce yourself. We’d love to get to know you.
- Finally, if you have any questions, please ask!
Our hope is that after getting to know us better, you would become a part of our church family. We’d love to have you on the journey.

Hello LACC:
I am thrilled to share a great resource that has just been made free last week through the Colson Center for Christian Worldview. I listen to some of their podcasts, and they are pretty good. This resource is great for parents, teachers, grandparents to help navigate some of the rising tides of our culture when it comes to issues of identity with a Biblical perspective. Of course I have not watched all of these videos, but I can recommend to you from what I know.
If you’re interested check it out at: https://identityproject.tv
We are looking forward to meeting together this Sunday! We are in a new series studying 2 Peter. One of the main themes is knowing God in this short letter. We are really looking forward to growing together as we start off the new year. If you would like to read the passage before we meet, look at 2 Peter 2:10-22. Please join us Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at LACC for worship, giving, scripture reading, teaching, communion, and fellowship.
Here are some announcements:
Mom’s Group- Mom’s Group will meet this Friday, February 7 at 10 am. Join us for a valentine brunch, chocolate mousse and a craft. RSVP to Marlo if you plan to come or would like to help.
LACS Valentine Flowers- LACS students will be taking orders for Valentine Flower arrangements after church today. This is an annual Parent/Teacher Fellowship fundraiser. PTF funds classroom materials, enrichment programs, and field expeditions for our school. We would love your support! Your donations of clear flower and/or bud vases also help support this fundraiser.
Mug & Muffin- Ladies! Join us for mug & muffin on Saturday, February 22 at 10 am. Bring a mug and a muffin to exchange and join us for a fun time of fellowship and, of course, food. Bring a friend!
Potluck Sunday- We are bringing back potluck Sundays! On February 16 you’re invited to stay after church for a potluck. A-I bring a side or salad, J-N a main dish, O-Z can bring dessert.
Giving Statements- Giving statements are available in the lobby. If you gave online or through the app, those statements were emailed to you.
Hope to see you Sunday!
