Visiting a new church can be pretty awkward. Maybe you’re coming from another church that did things differently or you’ve never been part of a church. Now you’re surrounded by a bunch of people singing songs that you don’t know and praying prayers you’ve never heard. Then, to top it all off, they pass around a basket and ask for money. We get it! We know that visiting a church can be uncomfortable, and we want to make you feel at home. So, here are a few things to know:

• You are welcome here and we're so glad you came. Every one of us has a past and it doesn’t matter where you come from, what you’ve done, or who you’re involved with, you're always welcome.
• Do not feel obligated to give. For those who attend our church regularly, it is an honor to give, but we do not expect it of our guests.
• Relax and enjoy yourself. Hopefully the routines of our Sunday service will be pretty easy to understand, but don’t worry, there’s nothing here to “mess up.”
• Say "hello" to someone. Most likely a bunch of people have already said “hello” to you, but in case they haven’t, step out and introduce yourself. We’d love to get to know you.
• Finally, if you have any questions, please ask!

Our hope is that after getting to know us better, you would become a part of our church family.  We’d love to have you on the journey.

We are looking forward to meeting together this Sunday with God’s people. If you would like to read the passage before we meet, look at Habakkuk 2:6-20. Please join us Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at LACC for worship, giving, scripture reading, teaching, and fellowship.

Work Days- We have cancelled the work days we had planned for this weekend due to the weather. Thanks for being willing to help! See you next time.

Operation Christmas Child- Please bring your boxes in by Sunday, November 17. We will be delivering them that week to be shipped out. 

Celebration of Life- We will be gathering on November 23 to celebrate the life of Joan Jannuzzi. The service will be held here at LACC at 10 am with a reception to follow at Matt and Marlo’s house.

Thanksgiving Feast- LACS is hosting their annual Thanksgiving Feast this Thursday the 21st from 12–1 pm. We would like to  invite you to join us to celebrate what God has accomplished in and through the school this year, and to thank you for your support through prayer and financial backing. If you are able to join us, please RSVP to 596-4100 or lacs@lakechurch.life

Christmas Decorating Day- We are planning to decorate for Christmas on November 25 (next Monday) at 9 am. We would love your help if you can make it!  
 
Awana Help- We could use an extra helper for the Cubbies group in AWANA. If you are interested, let Carol Ann know. You can also email her at carolann@lakechurch.life

LACS Scrip Drive- The school is also running their Christmas Scrip Drive. They will be selling gift cards to help raise money for the school. They are a great stocking stuffer! Please have your orders in by December 1st so they will arrive in time for Christmas.

Movie- Lassen Theater is showing Reagan on November 22. Check it out!
