Visiting a new church can be pretty awkward. Maybe you’re coming from another church that did things differently or you’ve never been part of a church. Now you’re surrounded by a bunch of people singing songs that you don’t know and praying prayers you’ve never heard. Then, to top it all off, they pass around a basket and ask for money. We get it! We know that visiting a church can be uncomfortable, and we want to make you feel at home. So, here are a few things to know:

• You are welcome here and we're so glad you came. Every one of us has a past and it doesn’t matter where you come from, what you’ve done, or who you’re involved with, you're always welcome.
• Do not feel obligated to give. For those who attend our church regularly, it is an honor to give, but we do not expect it of our guests.
• Relax and enjoy yourself. Hopefully the routines of our Sunday service will be pretty easy to understand, but don’t worry, there’s nothing here to “mess up.”
• Say "hello" to someone. Most likely a bunch of people have already said “hello” to you, but in case they haven’t, step out and introduce yourself. We’d love to get to know you.
• Finally, if you have any questions, please ask!

Our hope is that after getting to know us better, you would become a part of our church family.  We’d love to have you on the journey.

Hello LACC:

We are looking forward to meeting together this Sunday! We will be continuing our series called The Last Days of Jesus that will cover John 15-21.  If you would like to read this week’s passage before we meet, look at John 12:1-32. Please join us Sunday to celebrate Palm Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at LACC for worship, giving, scripture reading, teaching,  & fellowship.

Women’s Bible Study- The Tuesday night bible study at Marlo’s starts up again this week at 6:30 p.m. Call or text Marlo for details: 816-9267  

Ministry Opportunities- If you are looking to get involved in one of our ministries Carol Ann is looking for some extra help with the preschool age kids for Sunday school, and John is looking for someone interested in helping run livestream on Sunday mornings. If you’d like to help, you can talk to them after church or email:  carolann@lakechurch.life or john@lakechurch.life

Easter Services- We are looking forward to celebrating Easter with you! We have a few services planned:

Good Friday April 18– 5:30 pm at LACC
Easter Sunrise April 20– 6:30 am at Olsen Barn
Easter Sunday April 20– 9:30 am at LACC

Easter Baptisms- We plan to have baptisms on Easter Sunday. If you are interested in being baptized email Pastor Matt at matt@lakechurch.life or you can fill out the connection card.

Highway Clean-Up- We are back for highway clean up! Meet Julien at the Texaco parking lot on the east shore at 8 am on Thursday, April 24 to help clean up our section of the highway.

LACS Sock Hop- LACS is hosting a Sock Hop on Friday, April 25 from 5:00– 7:30. Tickets will be on sale after church Sunday, April 6 & 13th or you can call the school office at 596-4100. For $15 you get dinner, dancing, and dessert. Don’t miss out! 

Biblical Counseling & Discipleship Training- Meadow Valley Community Church  has invited us to a  biblical counseling and discipleship training over 3 weekends in May and June. The dates are Fri & Sat May 1 & 2, Fri & Sat May 30 & 31, and Fri & Sat June 20 & 21.  The cost is $100 for all 3 weekends and lunch and refreshments are provided.
